My Little Black Belt!

Madison earned her Little Ninja Black Belt a few weeks ago. We are so excited for her! Above is a picture of Madison and Sigung Chris.

Wow, Life is Busy

I can't believe how time flies. I have been so busy running the day care, raising two children of my own and being pregnant with a third, and facilitating a Financial Peace University class at Church, that sometime I forget I have a blog page.

I have two new children starting at the daycare, so that brings my numbers up to 10 during the day and 4 more after school. Once the baby is born we will have 11 during the day. I can actually take on one more, but at this point I am telling people I am full.

I still try to find time to do laundry and other household chores. The only one I am really good at is doing the dishes (and no I do not have an electronic dishwasher...I am the dishwasher). I think the only reason I get that done is so we have something to eat on for the next meal.

Speaking of which...better try to figure out what is for supper...oh wait, tonight is Wednesday...we have supper and study at the Church so I don't have to cook. Yeah!

Wow...I am a horrible blogger!

Well, it has been almost a year since I blogged. Things are very busy here.

The daycare is going well and I am still loving staying home with my girls. I am currently pregnant and due in May. We just found out that we are expecting a boy. We are very excited about that. My husband and I have 2 daughters and 6 nieces, so a boy is going to be a definite change of pace for us.

Please feel free to leave any advice on raising a boy!

Snow Day!

Yeah! School is cancelled because of all the snow. I thought I would have a house full of school aged kids running around or totally bored today. But guess what, I have no daycare kids at my house today! Now, don't get me wrong, I love all my daycare kids, but like with any job, it is wonderful to get an unexpected day off. Now, if only my own two children would get along for more than 10 minutes at a time. (I guess I can't have all good things in one day, huh?)

This snow day has also given me time to create a blog. This is something I have been wanting to do for quite a while, but haven't had time to get to it. I am hoping to update my family and friends on the daily life of running a home daycare. There are so many great things that happen (and a few not so great) that I just have to share with all of you. For the sake of privacy, I will not post pictures of my daycare children but I will post updated pictures of my own children (once I take them.)
